I just got back from Anchorage and AADD ‘s fall conference! It was so great to see Kim again and make some new friends, as well. Some really exciting presentations from the Alaska Alliance of Direct Support Professionals reporting on best practices to retain and strengthen the DSP Workforce (I can tell you CTA is doing pretty well, based on their guidelines ;)!). Goodlife Innovations ‘ Michael Strouse did a fascinating overview at how smart technology and creative planning could augment DSPs and offer assistance in real time. I finally met my Therap grandson, Andrew, and hosted a National Pug Day event where we howled at the moon and uncovered some serious pug knowledge in the room.
This was a great trip and I look forward to next fall being back in Anchorage with more Punctual Pug to show!
